I might make some enemies with this product review… Oh well.

Dominating ClickBank was launched yesterday and it is being sold like crazy, the question is… Is it worth $97?

How can I put this in a nice way…?

“Heck NO”

Okay that wasn’t so nice… but I am wondering if all the “gurus” promoting this product saw the same videos as I did… or if they watched them at all.

The MAIN promise:

To teach you how to make money with products with resell rights (using ClickBank)

In my opinion his techniques can work IF you are already experiencing success online. (And even at that… I still think it is a long shot)

Why?

Before I go on, let me say that I think Andrew Fox is a great marketer and watching his launch process was an amazing learning experience. Unfortunately, the ‘learning experience’ came to a complete halt when I watched the videos.

Okay, moving on.

Andrew talks about how he took a product he paid $197 for and made huge profits with it.

And this brings me to the FIRST TURN OFF.

About 40%-50% of the time (at least it felt like it) he talks about his stats… logs into his ClickBank account and shows you how much he made.

He says he believes “proof” is very important.

Okay, I do too.

But I think he did a great job establishing his creditably during the pre-launch process. Plus, the sales letter gets the point across pretty darn well.

When I bought the package I knew he made money, I knew he was the real thing. That’s why I bought it to begin with.

The last thing I wanted was to spend 30 minutes watching him go over his stats, again.

Now back to why I think this “method” “might” work ONLY for advanced marketers.

First of all…

You have to find a great product with resell rights that…

1. Is not overly saturated
2. Includes a killer sales letter.

Honestly… it is pretty hard to find a resell rights product with the above qualities.

Now… if you are at the right place, at the right time… you can definitely get lucky and get your hands on some resell rights product with those 2 requirements BUT you need just one more important element.

–> You need to have a “name”

Unless that’s what I got from the videos.

When he was showing off his earnings in his CB account, I could recognize some of the affiliate Ids. Meaning that it was obvious he had sealed some JV deals with some known marketers. (Which is fine)

But tell me…

If you are not known at all…

What are the chances that a known marketer with a list is going to promote your “resell rights” product?

I am starting to sound way too negative but this is honestly how I feel. You are better off taking your family out to eat with those $97.

Turn Off #2.

He recommends about 7 products. Yeah… he mentions that they are not affiliate links and he is not making money if I buy. But dude…

People are paying YOU $97 to learn how to make it all happen.

One of the products he recommends is a site that sells ‘limited quantity’ resell rights for $47 per month (which is actually owned by a great friend of mine)

Do I think it is possible to grab one of the products from my friend’s “$47-per-month” site and sell it at ClickBank for huge profits?

It is possible… but VERY unlikely…

Especially if you are a beginner. (Trust me on this one)

He also talks about making money with google adwords & clickbank, but again… he spends too much time discussing his stats and not giving real value. And oh yeah… he recommends a very popular program called ‘Adwords Miracle’ towards the end of the that video…

I was very disappointed with the videos and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Dominating Clickbank is a new product that was just released on October, 31 2006.
Already on launch day this product seems to be taking off and selling like crazy. I just checked my inbox and all the gurus whose mailing lists I subscribe to are all sending emails promoting Dominating Clickbank. It’s everywhere.

This is a very exciting product as it teaches some very clever ways to make money using Clickbank and utilizing its army of affiliates. I myself am using one of the clever strategies that were revealed in the pdf file they released before the launch. I am not however making the kind of money that is being made by this fellow. I have only made hundreds. But the pdf file revealed something to me that told me I was doing something all wrong and could have been making a lot more money.

Let me tell you about this very cool and clever little trick about buying resell rights products and setting them up with Clickbank and letting Clickbanks army of affiliates promote your product. Well its clever and if you think about it it’s is also very simple when you know how affiliate marketing and Clickbank work.

First a little about Clickbank. Clickbank is one of the, if not the largest seller of digital products such as ebooks and software online. You can find some pretty cool stuff there. Everything there is ranked by popularity including by sales. This means those people in the top ten spots in all categories can easily be making thousands a week. This is in part possible because Clickbank runs an affiliate program. This allows you and me to go to Clickbank and not only purchase anything there but also sell anything there through your own special link. So these people who own the websites in Clickbank have others, known as affiliates, promoting there product online also. Imagine having an army of entrepreneurs promoting your site day and night.

Well that’s where Dominating Clickbank comes in. THe main strategy is to get resell rights products and set up there websites and register them with Clickbank so that you too can have an army of people promoting your product for you. Well like I said it works and is working barely for me. Once I implement the strategies in Dominating Clickbank I should see more sales.

I really don’t think it will work for older and junky products. You need something good to compete in Clickbank. You need a great product and a great website so choose your Resell Rights products products carefully if you want to try this strategy. It could also be called the lazy mans way to profits.

Just do a search online for “Resell Rights” and you will find plenty of products you can choose to implement this one incredible money making strategy.

“Dominating Clickbank” by Andrew Fox is a product I didn’t ‘get’ from the ‘get go’. It came out a few months ago amid a lot of fanfare, even recommended by Chris McNeeney of “Affiliate Project X” fame. It has been marketed nicely, but so what? Does it deliver, helping you understand ways to make money online?

Fox has it all glossily presented, and I enjoyed the Camtasia video format: nine separate tutorials to educate you as how to “dominate clickbank”.

A major theme of Dominating Clickbank is resell rights, the right to claim a product someone else has authored as your own, through a mutual (usually a monetary) agreement, all perfectly fine and legal.

Now, Fox makes it sounds as if all you have to do is become a member of one of the sites he recommends for resell rights, get some JV partners, and head to the bank. But, is it really that easy?

Fox uses an example of an adsense e-book he purchased from Ryan Deiss for $197 and turned to profitable Clickbank product. Ryan Deiss? Okay, if you can lure Ryan Deiss into ghostwriting for you, I’d say you have a great shot at success. But the trick is getting someone with the reputation and talent of Ryan Deiss to sell you resell rights on a product he authored for $197.

One of the member resell sites that Fox recommends is run by Deiss, charging $29 a month. A natural question I had: if Deiss is charging $29 a month to be a member of site he runs for resell rights, then why was Fox paying him the $197? Was the adsense e-book specifically designed for Fox? He mentions in one video they are friends, but unfortunately, I don’t know Ryan Deiss personally. Ryan, if you’re reading this, I’ll gladly pay you $197 for any fifty page e-book you’ll produce related to Internet marketing. Deal?

I will openly admit I’ve never attempted what Fox is teaching here. But from what I’ve been told by people I trust (and who aren’t selling me anything), if you’re going to attempt something like this, in order to be successful you better have two things going for you:

1) JV partners better be lined up to assist you, or you are going to be dead in the water. Here again, I don’t feel like Fox is giving enough warning, or teaching with enough depth for his customer.

2) A quality product. Are you going to get that from any of these member sites? I don’t know, but it would seem to me you’d be better off going to eLance or ScriptLance to hire someone to ghostwrite your product idea. This is not covered in "Dominating Clickbank".

He moves on to his “Affiliate Hunter” method of making money on Clickbank. Catchy title, but again I feel there is no depth to the teaching. Making money through Clickbank is not as simple as going over to the CB Marketplace, finding a hot selling item, slapping up an Adwords campaign and driving to the bank. In fact, it is a good way to lose your shirt, if you aren’t careful.

What bothers me a lot of times with all this Internet marketing stuff is the fluff without substance. There sometimes feels like there is a great rush, and the foremost intent is to sell something. Slow down. Cover everything carefully. Give warning of potential pitfalls. Never take advantage of the trust someone has given to you by purchasing from you. I think that is great advice for anyone thinking of selling something online.
